MP3 Car Audio

Cheap car stereos buying guide. How to find a car stereo for the best price.

MP3 car audio is the best quality of music you can currently find in most cars. I say most because while dvd car audio might be better, most don’t have that type of set up.

When you have MP3 car audio, you can freely listen to you all the music you have. If you are like me, you have thousands of song sitting on the very computer you are reading this on. So how do you get that music from your computer to your car?

MP3s are unlike any music format you have seen before. No more carrying around multiple cassettes or CDs, leaving them in the car to melt. MP3s fit nicely inside a solid piece of equipment to provide you with hours of music either in your car (MP3 car audio) or outside with a pair of personal headphones.

First thing to do is go out and buy a MP3 player if you don’t have it. MP3 car audio obviously will not work unless you want to haul around your computer and plug it into your car. No, you want something small and portable.

Another factor that goes into great MP3 car audio is having a solid speaker system that will allow you to take in the music the way it was meant to be listened to.

Skipping music and making your own playlists are two main factors in deciding if MP3 car audio is for you. Say your girlfriend put a bunch of “girly” songs on your player and they randomly come on? You click the next button as fast as you can and hope no one is looking.

MP3 car audio is at it’s best when you connect it directly to the front of a MP3 compatible music dock. However, if all you have is a cassette deck, you can buy a cassette with a connector to a MP3 player as well.

There is really no excuse to not get involved in the new age of music by hooking up MP3 car audio in all of your cars. Actually, forget the “hooking up” part, because there really isn’t anything to hook up. Can you plug in a pair of headphones? Then you can plug in your MP3 player to your car’s stereo.  Though it probably wouldn’t be advisable to listen to MP3 car audio with your headphones while driving your car.  I’m sure the sound quality would be terrific though.

After doing research on how much hard drive space you need for your MP3 car audio, it’s time to go find the best prices online. The market is pretty saturated, so finding an off-brand MP3 player should be easy and affordable. Or, if you are like me, you might opt for the super deluxe Apple line of MP3 players. I personally have an Ipod Touch so I can browse the internet during my spare time as well. For simplicity sake, I won’t dive into that. 95% of you will just need a simple MP3 player.
